Every font Fontdue delivers in a completed order’s ZIP archive is watermarked with the ID of that order. When a font file turns up somewhere unexpected, you can upload it into Tools → Watermark lookup to trace it back to the original order.
Test fonts aren’t watermarked – watermark lookup only works on fonts customers received through a completed purchase.
Using the tool
Navigate to Tools → Watermark lookup and upload the font file. Fontdue parses the font file and looks for a watermark, and – if it finds one – redirects you to the corresponding order. If the file has no watermark – a test font, or a font that didn’t come from a Fontdue order – the tool reports that no watermark was found instead of opening an order.
If the lookup fails unexpectedly, contact us with the file.
